Our friends at Gibson Custom are extremely excited to announce the brand new Murphy Lab “Yardburst” ’59 Les Paul, a faithful recreation of Jeff’s legendary instrument!
This Gibson Custom Yardburst 59 Les Paul begins with a 1-piece Mahogany body paired up with a highly Figured Maple top. Each Maple top has been personally hand-selected due to its similarity with Jeffs original, the figuring on show is just stunning. The Dark Cherry Sunburst nitrocellulose finish is super vibrant in colour, the red edges are super eye-catching! This guitar has been painstakingly aged by the Murphy Lab team to match the original as it appeared during Jeffs Yardbird days, the attention to detail is just truly incredible!
The Mahogany neck features a 50s Rounded Medium C neck profile, its extremely comfortable and allows for quick and easy movements. The Rosewood fingerboard is adorned with Aged Cellulose Nitrate Trapezoid inlays and features a 24.75 scale length, 22 vintage frets and a 42.85mm nut width.
Such an incredible guitar needs a pickup pairing capable of the wide range of tones a player like Jeff Beck required. Loaded with a pair of Double White Custombucker pickups you have everything you need to nail Jeffs tone. These pickups are extremely dynamic and super responsive. The Yardburst 59 Les Paul features premium hardware across the board. With an ABR-1 bridge and Kluson single line tuners you have incredible stability no matter the situation.
