The double cutaway Mahogany body is finished in a really cool Ebony Nitrocellulose lacquer which allows for tonnes of resonance and punch, both of which are essential for cutting through in a KISS live show! It's an iconic design and still catches the eye all these years after its initial debut
The Mahogany neck boasts a custom neck profile based around the custom shaping Gene applied to his legendary original. It features a 30.50” scale length which allows for quick and easy movements, this is actually the first bass the Custom Shop have ever produced with this scale length, how sweet is that! The Indian Rosewood fingerboard features a 40.64mm nut width, 20 frets and acrylic dot inlays. It's a real joy to play and is more than just a rock machine, its smooth and versatile prefect for a wide range of styles.
The Gene Simmons EB-0 Bass features a custom Rhythm SG Bass pickup modelled on the after market pickup Gene installed all those years ago. The pickup has also been relocated much closer to the bridge, helping to give this bass a deep growl with tonnes of power! With a master volume and tone control you can sculpt this bass to taste. This bass also features a custom Kluson High Mass bridge which allows you to string this bass as a string through or as a top-loaded bridge. With Grover tuners this bass is super stable and stays in tune brilliantly. This is one super cool bass.
All of Gene’s unique modifications have been faithfully recreated in this awesome new bass. This is a must have for all you KISS fans out there!
