One of the things that plague amp users - especially those of valve amps - is the matching of impedence between amps and speaker cabinets. Improper pairing will at best cause undesired and inconsistent tone and volume levels and at worse decrease the lifespan of the amp and even completely wreck transformers and output valves. As a result, when wanting to swap the routing of multi-amp rigs or change out an amp or speaker you are faced with the choice of tediously rewiring manually or risking the dangers of improper impedence matching but that's not the case with the ZMACS - a patent pending high quality, simple to operate and enormously flexible solution!
This tool has a lot of flexibility, with switching between any 4 amplifiers, 4 cabinets, and 2 attenuators where 2 cabs can be selected simultaneously and unused amps are fed into an internal safety load. Each amp and cab can have its impedance programmed and the ZMACS will use it's built-in high-fidelity audio grade impedance matching transformer to alleviate any concerns about improper cabinet matching!
With all these options, the ZMACS features an incredibly friendly user interface. Just wire up your amps and cabs in the neatly labelled routing on the back and use the front panel to select which ones you want to use at any given moment. Featuring silent switching for no dropouts, pops, or clicks when changing equipment for a high-end professional experience. The unit also features full midi control as well as a QuickSwitch mode for simple preset selection with non-MIDI footswitches.
