The Fender Player II Modified Precision Bass is designed for the modern bassist, offering a blend of classic design with updated features. The neck is built for comfortable and fast playing, featuring a Modern "C" profile, a satin urethane finish, and a 9.5-inch radius fingerboard, available in either rosewood or maple. The fingerboard edges are rolled, and the neck is fitted with 20 medium jumbo frets, contributing to a smooth playing experience. The alder body, available in several finishes, provides the traditional Fender bass tone.
For sound, the bass utilises a Precision Bass neck pickup and a Noiseless Jazz Bass bridge pickup. These pickups are designed to deliver the classic Fender bass sound, while minimising unwanted noise. An all-new 18-volt active preamp, with a passive tone control and a 3-band EQ, allows for precise sound shaping. The 3-band EQ includes a refined mid-Q and centre frequency.
The hardware includes a 4-saddle HiMass bridge, designed to enhance resonance and sustain, and provide stable intonation. Tapered-shaft tuning machines are used to improve tuning stability by increasing the string break angle over the nut. A Graph Tech TUSQ nut is included to further enhance tuning stability and contribute to midrange harmonics.
This bass is built to provide reliable performance with features designed for consistent playing and sound quality.
