Eric Johnson had his 1954 "Virginia" Stratocaster when he recorded Tones and the Platinum Ah Via Musicom, ground-breaking albums that made him a hero to music fans and guitarists alike. To this day, Eric continues to release brilliant music, tour constantly and is, to the electric guitar community, and widely followed tastemaker.
The 2-Piece offest seam Sassafras body is finished in a classic 2-Colour Sunburst Nitrocellulose Lacquer, which allows the wood to breath and resonate much more effectively than other finish types. Paired up with a super comfortable 1-Piece Maple neck which boasts 21 Jumbo Frets, a 12" Radius, a Soft "V" neck profile and a 25.5" Scale Length. This neck is supremly comfortable and allows for great movement all across the neck.
With a guitar this legendary you really need a pickup set up to the challenge, a Fender sure have nailed it. Loaded with a duo of Fender '57/'62 Single-Coils in the neck and middle position and a DiMarzio HS-2 Bridge Pickup. These pickups really do deliver all those classic Fender tones you know and love! With a 6-Saddle American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo and Vintage-Style tuners you can expect flawless intonation and stability.
