The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '55 Hardtail Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The sort for lightweight Ash body is finished in a classic 3Aged White nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The Time Capsule finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1955 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.
The rift sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish and feels great underhand! With a 7.25”-9.5" compound radius, 21 medium vintage frets, the '55 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a 1954 “U” neck shape which measures .900 at the 1st fret and .970 at the 12th fret. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced.
With a trio of handwound Fender '55 Strat pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone.
