Jason Smith is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so!
The Fender Custom Shop Jason Smith Masterbuilt ‘50s Pine Top Tele is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.
This guitar has some serious mojo! With a traditional Ash body with Knotty Pinetop it looks super slick, finished in a sweet Tobacco Sunburst this Tele has a real vintage vibe! The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since the ‘50s and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The neck is crafted from Quartersawn Maple and features a 10/56 V profile, it's real comfortable and with a 9.5" radius and 21 Narrow Tall frets it's smooth and at home playing slick runs and crisp chords right up the neck.
Loaded with a Josefina Hand-Wound ’67 Tele bridge single coil and a Seymour Duncan Almico II neck humbucker you get a broad variation of tones. From clean sparkle to a raunchy growl, this guitar really is a players dream.
Supreme quality from top to bottom and shipped in a Fender Custom Shop hardcase, it's easy to see the Fender Masterbuilders are so highly regarded. Guitars of this calibre just don't come around every day, we love it and we're pretty sure you will to!
