Fender Custom Shop Ltd 70's Telecaster Custom Journeyman Relic Black
The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop 70's Telecaster Custom they really push the boundaries of Leo Fenders vision.
This guitar has some serious mojo! With an Ash body, finished in aged Black, this Custom Shop Tele Custom boasts a Journeyman finish. The Journeyman is a very lightly aged nitro finish; this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been lovingly cared for over the years. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The AA Flame Quarter Sawn Maple neck features a 9.5" radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. The 60 style oval C shape profile measures .850" at the 1st fret and .920" at the 12th fret. It also boasts 21 frets 6105 frets which offer a really organic playing experience. The AAA grade rosewood fingerboard feels smooth and add some extra warmth to the tone.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar the Custom Shop 70's Telecaster Custom needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Fender Tele Custom tone we love. With Hand Wound "Original Blackguard" Bridge pickup and the widely revered "Cunife" Wide range neck Humbucker, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection. These pickups deliver the classic Tele Custom Tone and offer supreme tonal variety.
The Bigsby adds even more vibe to this already visually striking guitar. Other notable features are the Mother of Pearl inlays and 500k/250k Pots in the correct positions
Complete with Custom Shop case, this is another absolute stunner from the guys at the Fender Custom Shop!
