A Roasted Alder body is finished in a lush Sherwood metallic over 3-Tone Sunburst Super Heavy Relic nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The heavy, dirty checking on this guitar is super authentic, a real work of art!
The Roasted Quartersawn Maple neck has a smooth, vintage feel. With a 9.50" radius, jumbo frets and a Large C neck shape it feels comfortable and robust, just like a vintage Fender should.
With the Stratocaster design considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '61 Strat needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Strat spank.. Loaded with a trio of hand wound Fender Texas Specials you can nail that iconic Strat sound
