The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop Tele they really push the boundaries of Leo Fenders vision.
An Alder body is finished in an awesome Gold Sparkle nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The 2A Flame Maple neck has a smooth, vintage feel. With a 9.50" radius and 21 6105 frets, the Telecaster features a 60 Style Oval C neck, it feels comfortable and robust, just like a vintage Fender should.
With the Telecaster design considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, this Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. Loaded with a hand wound Texas Special bridge pickup and a Wide-Range CuNIFe neck humbucker you certainly get that famous Tele' tone.
The original Telecaster's are the stuff of legend, a real collector's piece. The Fender Custom Shop Tele, well that's a player's guitar!
