What an absolutely stunning Strat! This guitar exudes classic appeal and is a dream come true for any vintage Stratocaster enthusiast. The dirty knobs and saddles strike that perfect balance, adding just the right amount of funky mojo without the guitar looking overly worn. Truly, this is one of the finest examples of a Custom Shop Strat you can find without stepping up to a Dale Wilson Masterbuilt. The neck on this guitar is absolutely spot on - smooth, comfortable, and with a feel that's been given a resounding thumbs up from John, Peach's owner and seasoned Strat lover who knows his way around vintage examples.
If you're on the hunt for a top-notch Strat, we highly recommend jumping on this one. The photos alone are enough to sell it, but let's dive into the specs. The body is crafted from alder, hand-selected and sorted by the Custom Shop for this particular instrument. The pickups are hand-wired 60/63 Strat pickups, delivering that classic 60s tone with unmatched authenticity. The fingerboard is made from AAA grade rosewood, hand chosen specifically for its dark, rich appearance - another detail that sets this guitar apart. It also features medium vintage fret wire, which adds to its classic feel.
While this guitar looks perfect for a vintage Fender aficionado, it also boasts modern upgrades that enhance playability. The fretboard radius has been updated to a 7.25"-9.5" compound radius, providing comfort near the nut for traditional playing while flattening out higher up the neck to allow for easier bending and low-action without fretting out. Additionally, although the body has a Journeyman Relic finish - meaning it's not heavily aged - the back of the neck is finished in a Heavy Relic style. This gives the neck that incredible, worn-in feel that Fender Custom Shop owners love, without making the body paint look too distressed.
