The Alder body is finished in a stunning Bleached 3-Tone Sunburst nitro lacquer. Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively.
The plain grain Maple neck has a smooth Nitro lacquer finish and with an AAA Rosewood fingerboard, 9.5"-12" compound radius and 21 medium jumbo frets, the '63 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The 60 Style Oval "C" neck profile is extremely comfortable and easy to play. It measures .790" at the 1st fret and .930" at the 12th fret.
