The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '59 Strat Relic is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.
A sort for lightweight Alder body is finished in a stunning Aged Seafoam Green nitro lacquer. Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. Dale is the King of relic work at the custom shop and this certainly doesn't disappoint though!
The rift sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish. With an AAA sort for dark Rosewood fingerboard, 9.5" radius and 21 narrow tall frets, the '59 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The neck profile is extremely comfortable and easy to play. It measures .820" at the 1st fret and .974" at the 12th fret.
With a trio of hand wound Fender Custom Shop JCE Custom pickups (Formally known as John Cruz Master Design) it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. With a crisp harmonic content and a refined and precise tone, the JCE Customs are some of the most versatile single coils around, a great choice for this guitar!
Supreme quality from top to bottom and shipped in a Fender Custom Shop hardcase, it's easy to see the Fender Masterbuilders are so highly regarded. Guitars of this calibre just don't come around every day, we love it and we're pretty sure you will to!
