The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop 68 Telecaster Thinline they really push the boundaries of Leo Fenders vision.

This guitar has some serious mojo! With an Mahogany body, finished in a sweet Aged Natural this Custom Shop Tele Thinline boasts a Journeyman finish. The Journeyman is a very lightly aged nitro finish; this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been lovingly cared for over the years. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.

The Rift Sawn Maple neck features a 9.5" radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. The 60 style oval C shape profile, and 21 6105 frets vintage offer a really organic playing experience.

With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar the Custom Shop 68 Thinline needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Fender tone. With a pair of Hand Wound Twisted Tele pickups, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection. These pickups are clinical and offer supreme tonal variety. Finished off with a slick Bigsby B5 tailpiece this Tele is loaded with vintage vibe and is ready for action
