The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '63 Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The Alder body is finished in a classic Lake Placid Blue nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1963 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.
The plain grain Maple neck has a smooth finish and a AAA-grade Rosewood fingerboard. With a 7.25" radius and 21 6150 frets and a 1.650” nut width this guitar is posed and ready for action.
It also features a '63 Style "C" neck shape which measures .830” at the 1st fret and 1.000” at the 12th fret. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced.
With a trio of Fender '60 Strat pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone.
Yet another absolute stunner from the guys at the Fender Custom Shop!
