The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '61 Stratocaster HSS Journeyman is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The Alder body is finished in a heavily-worn classic Fiesta Red nitro lacquer. It's expertly done and looks like a real workhorse. This finish will continue to wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The Quarter-Sawn Roasted Maple Satin Lacquer neck has a smooth finish and a AAA-grade Rosewood fingerboard. The '61 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a '60 Style Oval "C" neck shape, a 9.5"-12" compound radius, 22 6100 jumbo frets and a 1.650" Nut Width. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced.
With a duo of handwound '59 Strat pickups and an EVH Frankenstein humbucker, it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone. With Fenders POMO wiring this HSS loaded Strat is poised and ready for action!
