The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '60 Heavy Relic Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The lightweight Alder body is finished in a unique Black over Candy Apple Red nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The heavy relic finish gives the appearance of a well worked guitar, one that has seen the rigours of the road.
The plain grain Maple neck features a 9.5" radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. The '60s style oval C shape and 21 medium jumbo frets offers a really comfortable playing experience, while the satin finish feels great underhand. The AAA grade Rosewood fingerboard is full of character and the light tinted finish feels smooth and slick.
With a trio of Fender single coil pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone. With a 69 Strat at the neck position, a Fat ‘50s in the middle and a Texas Special at the bridge it offers everything you ever want from a Custom Shop Strat.
This guitar is used but in good condition. A great example of a heavy relic Fender, this Strat comes complete with Fender hardcase.
