Please Note: This guitar is Pre-Owned but is in Excellent condition with only some very light body scratching - even the film is still on the pickgaurd! The white Top Hat switch cap has also been changed to a black one. The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop Vintage Custom Telecaster they really push the boundaries of Leo Fenders vision.
A sort for lightweight Alder body is finished in an awesome Olympic White lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The Rift sawn Maple neck has a smooth, vintage feel. With a 7.25- 9.50" radius and 21 medium vintage frets, the Vintage Custom Telecaster features a 59 Large C profile which measures out at .850" at the 1st fret and .990" at the 12th; it feels comfortable and robust, just like a vintage Fender should.
With the Telecaster design considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. Loaded with a pair of hand wound 58 Tele pickups it certainly delivers.
