The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '56 Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The Alder body is finished in a classic White Blonde nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1956 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.
The Rift sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish and a stunning Maple fingerboard. With a 9.5" radius and 21 6150 frets and a 1.650 nut width this guitar is poised and ready for action.
It also features a '60 Style Oval "C" neck shape which measures .790 at the 1st fret and .930 at the 12th fret. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced.
With a trio of Fender '50 Strat pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone.
