The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '56 Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The Alder body is finished in a classic Shell Pink nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The relic is super authentic and gives a real feel of a vintage guitar.
The plain grain Maple neck has a smooth finish. With a 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets, the '56 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The '57 soft V profile is a joy to play and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing.
With a trio of Fender Custom Shop single coil pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. There's a 69 Strat at the neck, a Fat '50s in the middle and a Texas Special at the bridge. This combination is super versatile and offers the complete Stratocaster experience.
Supplied with a Fender Custom Shop hard case, this is a real sweet example of Custom Shop quality.
This guitar is used and does show a few signs of signs of use, some tarnishing of the hardware and a some light buckle rash but it's a relic guitar and it all adds to the appeal!
