The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop '52 Telecaster they have delivered a super alternative take on Leo Fenders vision.
A traditional Ash body is finished in a majestic Purple Metallic over Inca Silver finish. Period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The 3A Roasted Flame Maple neck has a smooth, authentic, vintage feel. With a 9.50" radius, '57 style soft V shape, 21 frets and a 25.5"scale length, it's a real joy to play. This stunner features a matching purple reverse headstock, a bold move it really does compliment the brave colour choice.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '52 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a hand wound Twisted Tele' pickup at the bridge and a TV Jones Classic at the neck, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection. Complete with a Tone Saver treble bleed, this Tele offers so much more than a standard '52.
