The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop '60 Telecaster Custom they hark right back to the early days of Leo Fenders vision.
A traditional select Alder body is completed with the incredible Dirty Shell Pink over 3-Tone Sunburst finish. The '60 Tele has a unique relic'd nitro finish, this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar but with all the tone and playability of a modern one. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The Tinted Quarter Sawn Maple neck has a smooth, authentic, vintage feel. With a 9.50" radius, 59 Large C style profile, Dark Rosewood fingerboard, 21 frets and a 25.5"scale length, it's a real joy to play.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '60 Telecaster Custom needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a hand wound Texas Special at the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Seth Lover humbucker at the neck it offers an alternative take on that classic Tele sound. Boasting a versatile and well balanced selection.
Double bound and featuring a Tele bridge with RSD saddles, this guitar offers a cool fusion of vintage and modern specs, perfect for the working musician.
