The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Fender Custom Shop 70th Anniversary Broadcaster they hark right back to the early days of Leo Fenders vision.
The Ash body is finished in the classic Faded Nocaster Blonde Heavy Relic finish. Boasting a unique relic'd nitro finish, this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar but with all the tone and playability of a modern one. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The rift sawn Maple neck is finished in nitro lacquer for a smooth, authentic, vintage feel. With a 7.25- 9.5" radius, 21 medium vintage frets and a 25.5"scale length, it's a real joy to play.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop 70th Anniversary Broadcaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a duo of '50/51 Blackguard pickups, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection.
