The Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster is a finely crafted instrument designed under the expert guidance of Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Christopher Fleming. Crafted with precision, this guitar boasts an ash body adorned with a thin polyester finish that not only enhances its appearance but also contributes to its sonic qualities. The neck is a soft "V"-shaped maple, providing players with 21 medium jumbo frets for an exceptional playing experience.
What truly sets this Telecaster apart are its exceptional pickups. It features a Custom Shop Vintage-Style Tele bridge pickup and a custom Twisted Tele neck pickup. These pickups, meticulously designed, offer a wide tonal range and unparalleled clarity.
One of the standout features of the Classic Player Baja Telecaster is its four-way pickup switch, which expands the tonal palette beyond the conventional Telecaster configurations. In the fourth position, it combines the neck and bridge pickups in series, delivering a meaty, high-output tone perfect for rocking out.
Enhancing the tonal versatility is the S-1 switch, seamlessly integrated into the volume control knob. This switch modifies the pickup wiring from in-phase to out-of-phase when both pickups are engaged, offering even more sonic possibilities.
The "soft V" neck profile ensures a comfortable playing experience, particularly suited for those with larger hands. It strikes the right balance between the sharpness of a '50s "V" profile and a more rounded shape, making it a joy to play.
