For months Fender have been promising to re-enter the world of high end American made acoustic guitars, well at NAMM 2019 they did, but not in the way we expected! The Fender Acoustasonic Telecaster is a versatile and elegant hybrid electric/acoustic guitar, embracing the tonal qualities of both acoustic and electric guitars; the Acoustasonic is an impressive bit of kit!
The hollow Mahogany Telecaster style body is really loud and super resonant, there's plenty of projection here so it sounds great unplugged. The real magic with the Acoustasonic occurs when you plug it in, with 3 different pick up systems, this guitar is never short of tonal options. The Fender and Fishman designed Acoustic Engine delivers 10 different body style and tone wood combinations while the Noiseless Magnetic pickup offers authentic hum free electric tone. You can use this pickup individually or blend it with an acoustic voice to create your own unique sound. The third pickup option is Fender's 'Stringed Instrument Resonance System' (SIRS), this allows you to achieve the response and harmonic quality of a true acoustic guitar.
The satin finished Mahogany neck has a deep C profile, a beautiful Ebony fingerboard and 22 frets, its familiar but very much its own thing when paired with the acoustic vibe. Complete with a deluxe gigbag, this guitar is a great performance tool both on stage and in the studio.
