Eddie Van Halen was one of the most influential guitar players of all time, the original King of shred; his tapping technique has spawned a thousand impersonators. Known for his love of tinkering and modding his own guitars, EVH deliver guitars built for precision, tone and the kind of fleet fingered fretboard wizardry for which he made his name.
One of those guitars became as iconic to Van Halens sound as tapping was to Eddies playing. Aptly named the "Shark," Eddie took his angular offset axe and sawed a chunk out of the body, leaving jagged edges in the wood that resembled teeth. Eddie then added his ever so iconic stripe pattern creating one of the most brilliant guitars ever made. This guitar is a faithful recreation of the original. Featuring an ash body, this guitar sings and has brilliant sustain. The satin matching neck is comfortable underhand. Boasting a modified "C" Backshape with 22 Jumbo frets on a Pau Ferro Fingerboard. The body design allows for Ultimate access all over the fingerboard
A duo of flagship EVH Wolfgang Shark humbuckers are mounted directly onto the body for a clinical and articulate voicing. They really sing and deliver clarity and punch to match anything in this price range. With an EVH branded Chrome-Plated Solid-Brass Harmonica bridge and EVH Custom Gotoh tuners you can be certain of great tuning stability. A Hardcase for this brilliant guitar is available separately.
This is an awesome tribute to an iconic legend of guitar
