Since its release back in '81 the SD-1 Super Overdrive has been a staple on almost every pedal board around the world, one of the first true workhorse pedals in existence. Based around the revolutionary asymmetrical clipping circuit from the OD-1 Overdrive which was one of the original three Boss compact pedals from '77, the SD-1 delivers a rich and smooth overdrive that will blow you away.
The SD-1 can be utilised in many ways to unlock true tonal bliss, ideal for use with clean or slightly driven amps for when you need to push them just that little bit harder, it also works brilliantly for bringing tightness and definition to high gain amp tones.
No matter the player or play style there is always room for an SD-1 on your pedal board, this 40th anniversary model pays respect to one of the all time greats.
