The Eastman FullerTone SC'52 reimagines the classic single-cutaway electric guitar, blending vintage warmth with modern clarity and playability. Designed by Otto D'Ambrosio with a focus on exceptional resonance and sustain, the SC'52 features the innovative FullerTone neck joint. This groundbreaking two-bolt, long-tenon design dramatically increases neck-to-body contact compared to traditional bolt-on necks, rivalling the sustain and stability of set-neck guitars while maintaining a lightweight and airy feel. This increased contact area facilitates superior resonance transfer, resulting in a richer, more vibrant tone.
The SC'52's tonal palette is defined by a unique pickup configuration: a custom Tonerider soapbar humbucker with a striking gold-foil cover in the neck position and a Tonerider noiseless stacked single-coil in the bridge. The gold-foil humbucker, designed by D'Ambrosio, offers a warm, full-bodied tone with a touch of vintage character, while the noiseless single-coil provides crisp, articulate bridge tones without the hum often associated with single-coil pickups. This combination allows players to explore a wide range of sonic textures, from smooth jazz and blues to rock and even heavier styles.
Beyond its innovative neck joint and versatile pickups, the SC'52 boasts a number of premium features. The roasted black limba body contributes to the guitar's resonant character and lightweight feel. Premium CTS pots and Orange Drop capacitors ensure smooth and precise control over the tone, while an Aumsen brass-saddled bridge provides excellent intonation and tuning stability. Custom staggered tuners further enhance tuning stability and create optimal string tension.
