This limited edition model stands out with its stunning solid Koa back and sides, paired with a solid Sitka Spruce top. This tonewood combination produces a rich, resonant tone with a warm low-end, clear midrange, and sparkling highs. Koa is known for its beautiful figuring and tonal complexity, which only improves with age. The Sitka Spruce top adds brightness and projection, making this guitar ideal for both fingerstyle and strumming.
The guitar's neck is crafted from mahogany with a comfortable Traditional Even "C" profile, providing a familiar and ergonomic feel for players of all styles. The ebony fingerboard, with its 12" radius, offers a smooth playing surface and contributes to the guitar's overall clarity and sustain. The bone nut (1.75" width) and bone saddle enhance the transfer of vibrations, resulting in improved resonance and tonal purity. Jescar FW43080 frets offer excellent playability and durability.
The AC422CE’s hand-scalloped X bracing allows the top to vibrate more freely, resulting in increased volume, projection, and dynamic response. The 16" body dimensions and 4 1/4" depth provide a comfortable playing experience while contributing to the guitar's powerful voice. The classic rosette, ivoroid binding on the top, back, and fingerboard, and pearl headstock logo add to the guitar's elegant aesthetic. The pearl dot inlays, along with the distinctive Fortissimo inlays at the 7th and 12th frets, provide a touch of visual flair.
Equipped with an LR Baggs Element EAS VTC pickup system, the AC422CE is ready for the stage or studio.
