The Fairytale Lapsteel Split/King also features the revolutionary Duesenberg Multibender Bridge System, a user-configurable tone bending device that allows for harmonic up- and down-bends. You can customise the system with up to five levers to modulate chords and melodies, giving you complete creative control.
The Split/King pickups also feature an innovative coil concept that extends a real singlecoil to a full humbucker with a finely-tuned separate coil. This unique setup provides access to both pickup sounds with the flick of a switch, delivering maximum versatility. It's not just two pickups - it's actually four.
In addition, the Fairytale Lapsteel Split/King comes with a genuine speed-pot as a tone control. This pot operates at a reduced 70° angle, allowing you to create tone swells with just your fingertip.

The Lapsteel also features an integrated Easy-Shift Capodaster, which makes key changes a breeze. Simply loosen the thumbscrew on top of the Capo, place it wherever you need it on the fretboard, and tighten the screw again. The Easy-Shift Capo runs on a rail inside the fretboard, ensuring that you never lose or misplace it.
The Multibender is an integrated string bending device that can be configured to do a number of different things. It allows for bending specific strings up or down a semi- or full tone, all done with the heel of your hand while playing. The Multibender takes up to five levers (additional levers available separately), which can all be set up to do different things.
This Lapsteel is built to last, and so is its included Duesenberg Custom Line Case. It's a handsome, laid-back case that's more sturdy than what's inside. It's made with flightcase quality, classically shaped, beautifully handcrafted, and designed to endure the most realistic and unrealistic abuses.
