The Cordoba Iberia series allows an affordable entry into the Cordoba world. The C4-CE is one of their most popular models due to the fact that it is an excellent classical guitar, consistently made and with great tone, looks and playability.
For a student, a guitar that is hard to play or won't stay in tune can easily put them off for life. Even though this is an entry-level guitar from Cordoba, it still provides access to their expertise in design and build. This results in a guitar that will help a student excel.
The top of the guitar is made from solid mahogany and is complimented with mahogany back and sides. This is a classic choice for nylon-strung guitars and with good reason - it sounds great! The top is fan braced; this style of bracing (pioneered on classical guitars by Antonio de Torres Jurado) gives a far superior bass response and dynamics when compared to a ladder-braced classical.
Amazingly for the price point, the guitar has a bone nut and saddle, is bound in maple and features a beautiful Edge Burst finish with abalone rosette. The guitar comes strung with a high-quality Savarez set and pearl buttons on the tuners complete the elegant look.
The guitar features a cutaway for the musician who either likes the look, needs easier access to the higher frets or both! The neck is a little bit slimmer than on a traditional classical, coming in at a 50mm width at the nut. A Fishman Sonitone pickup has been added so that the guitar can be amplified if need be. Fishman are a trusted name when it comes to pickups and this active undersaddle piezo will do the job brilliantly.
