Ampeg Venture V7 | 700-Watt Bass Head
Venture series heads are compact, lightweight and portable, high power solid state amplifiers. They feature a 3-band EQ with sweepable mids, Ultra Hi and 3-way Ultra Lo switches, and a Super Grit Technology Overdrive circuit with either SVT or B15 voicing and grit and input level controls. With the exception of the Class D power amplifier, all circuitry is analogue so the tone and feel of your playing remain intact. Read on below to see what makes the V7 the staple amp in this series.
Introducing the Ampeg Venture V7, a powerhouse amplifier designed for modern bassists. As part of the Venture Series, this amp carries on Ampeg's tradition of innovation in the world of electric bass. The Venture V7, with a massive 700 watts of power, is the largest and most potent option in the series, yet it remains incredibly portable, weighing in at less than seven pounds. It easily fits into a gig bag or the optional Venture carrying bag, making it an ideal choice for bassists on the move.
The heart of the Venture V7 is its Class D power section, providing ample power to drive not only the Venture Series speaker cabs but also a wide range of other cabinets you may encounter on your musical journey. The Legacy Preamp, paired with intuitive controls, offers a plethora of tone-shaping options. What sets it apart is that, aside from the Class D power amplifier, all circuitry is analogue, preserving the authentic tone and feel of your playing.
The V7 boasts a powerful EQ section, featuring a 3-Band EQ with a Sweepable Mid Circuit, Ultra Hi, and Ultra Lo switches, allowing you to sculpt your ideal bass tone. Additionally, the SGT Overdrive Section lets you toggle between the classic Ampeg SVT or the legendary B15 tone while controlling the "grit" and overall level. Compression is also at your fingertips to even out dynamics and enhance sustain.
The V7 also boasts convenient features like a Mute switch, an LED signal indicator, and an FX Loop with wet/dry mix control. Its extensive connectivity options include dual Neutrik speakON NL2 jacks for main speaker outputs, a Balanced DI Output with -20dB and Ground Lift switches and either altered or unaltered bass signal, and the flexibility to route preamp and poweramp signals to or from other amplifiers. You can even monitor your sound through the headphone output whilst listening to any backing tracks from the AUX.
With the Ampeg Venture V7, you get portability, power, and tonal versatility in a compact and reliable package, making it an excellent choice for bassists on the go.
