The Yamaha TransAcoustic guitar revolutionises the acoustic playing experience by integrating built-in reverb and chorus effects without the need for external amplification. Using a precisely controlled actuator that transmits vibrations through the guitar's tonewood, it produces rich, authentic sounds directly from the instrument. Featuring simple controls for adjusting effects and line-out volume, it is based on the high-quality Yamaha L Series, renowned for its exceptional tone, playability, and design. Enhanced with Yamaha's ARE toning process and a robust 5-ply neck design, the TransAcoustic guitar offers unparalleled comfort, stability, and versatility, making it perfect for both intimate settings and larger venues.
The Yamaha TransAcoustic guitar is an innovative instrument designed to enhance your playing experience with built-in reverb and chorus effects. Instead of using an external speaker, it employs a precisely controlled actuator that connects to the guitar's inner surface. This actuator transmits vibrations through the tonewood, creating authentic reverb and chorus sounds directly from the guitar itself.
The guitar features three simple controls that allow you to adjust the effects and line-out volume with ease. The Chorus Control adjusts the amount of chorus effect, while the Reverb Control lets you switch between room and hall reverb types around the 12:00 position. The TA Switch activates the TransAcoustic function with a press of over 0.3 seconds, and it also adjusts the line-out volume when a cable is connected to the line-out jack.
Built on the acclaimed Yamaha L Series, the TransAcoustic guitar combines superior tone, playability, and build quality. The L Series non-scalloped bracing design maintains its bright tone while enhancing the low end. The solid spruce top is treated with Yamaha's unique ARE toning and ageing process, providing a rich, vintage-quality sound from the first strum.
Comfort and playability are prioritised with a straighter neck taper and hand-rolled fingerboard edges, allowing for stress-free playing sessions. The 5-ply neck design, made from rosewood and mahogany with a double-action adjustable rod, ensures a strong, stable neck that resists warping.
The TransAcoustic technology offers versatility, making external amplification unnecessary for adding effects at home or in intimate settings. For larger venues, the end-pin doubles as a jack socket, allowing the TransAcoustic guitar to function as a high-quality electro-acoustic instrument. This blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology makes the Yamaha TransAcoustic guitar an excellent choice for any guitarist.
