Description

We're absolutely thrilled with the custom Anderson guitar we ordered, and it seems the folks at Tom Anderson Guitarworks are too, featuring it recently on their Instagram. John customised the Pro Am model, striking a perfect balance between 80s shred and contemporary sophistication.

Starting with the essentials, it's an S-Family style Pro Am, boasting a solid alder body. Alder, a wood with roots in guitar construction since the late 1950s, offers that classic "vintage tone" - thick midrange with clarity and articulation. The 25.5" traditional scale length complements this beautifully. The standout feature is undoubtedly the stunning Satin Metallic Green Go finish, blending 80s inspiration with a modern satin touch.

The neck upgrade to caramel maple ensures a smooth and comfortable playing experience, further enhanced by the sleek reverse headstock design. The satin natural finish and Even-Taper neck provide a fast-playing silhouette, while the increased +.030 depth adds a touch of comfort.

Specs like a 1 11/16" nut width, stainless steel jumbo frets, and a 12 to 14-inch fingerboard radius offer unparalleled playability. The black hardware, including a sunken locking trem, locking nut, and locking tuners, adds both style and functionality.

The VA 7.2 neck pickup delivers vintage warmth with a slightly hotter output, while the HC2 bridge pickup, adorned with a Raw Nickel cover, offers vintage-flavoured tones with focused midrange and musical highs. The 3-Way Kui Toggle Switch and Push/Pull splitting expand tonal versatility.

It comes equipped with .009-.046 Elixirs, but we're happy to accommodate any string preferences. And for safe travels, it's packed snugly in an ultra plush and protective gig bag.

This guitar effortlessly blends modern aesthetics with 80s vibes, beckoning you to pick it up and dive into endless hours of practice, play, writing, and recording. Truly a unique and inspiring instrument.
