Colours Shift Depndening On Light & Angle - SC1 & HC2 Pickups - Even-Taper Neck Profile - Jumbo Frets

Mystichrome, a prismatic, colour-shifting paint originally created for Ford's Mustang Cobra, changes hues with the light and angle. From green to turquoise, galaxy blue, purple, and fiery violet, it reveals new shades with every shift.

First seen on cars, this striking finish has crossed over into the guitar world. It enhances the curves of this Icon Classic, adding dynamic, vivid highlights. Guitars like the Ernie Ball Music Man JP6 and PRS Silver Sky Nebula also embraced this finish, blending vintage inspiration with futuristic flair.

Anderson Guitarworks has long been revered amongst musicians for its commitment to innovation and quality craftsmanship. Amongst their illustrious lineup, the Anderson Icon Classic stands as a testament to their pursuit of excellence in both design and sonic performance. Featuring an alder body, chocolate maple neck with a satin finish, and stainless steel jumbo frets, it delivers robust lows and sparkling highs with silky smooth playability. Equipped with SC1 single-coils and a HC2 humbucker, vintage tremolo, and the Buzz Feiten Tuning System, this guitar offers unmatched tonal versatility and tuning precision, making it a true masterpiece for modern guitarists who need the best.

Description

Anderson Guitarworks has long been revered amongst musicians for its commitment to innovation and quality craftsmanship. Amongst their illustrious lineup, the Anderson Icon Classic stands as a testament to their pursuit of excellence in both design and sonic performance.

Mystichrome Colour Shift

Catch it in any light, and watch the colours move. As the angles shift, so do the hues. From straight on, a deep green; tilt it, and turquoise emerges. Lean back, and galaxy blue takes over. At the edge, you'll see green and purple; push it further, and fiery violet bursts to life. Throughout, shadows of charcoal and black haunt the contours, emphasising every angle.

Different shades, different colours, all shifting with perspective. This is Mystichrome - a prismatic, colour-shifting paint, originally created by BASF for Ford. It made its debut as "Mystic" on the 1996 Mustang Cobra, and later evolved into Mystichrome for the 2004 Mustang Cobra, adding even more dramatic flair to an already legendary car.

On the swooping lines of the Icon Classic, Mystichrome ignites the sculpted body with vivid highlights. Similarly, when the Ernie Ball Music Man JP6 debuted in 2001, the colour-shift model quickly became John Petrucci's top seller. PRS also saw success with the Silver Sky Nebula, a "flip-flop" finish that changes with the light, accentuating the guitar's lines and giving it a powerful yet delicate look. This polychromatic finish reflected the Silver Sky's mission to redefine vintage-inspired guitars and look towards the future.

All of this resonates with the Tom Anderson Nebula, a guitar that captures the same spirit with its own prismatic magic.

Vintage-Inspired Design with Modern Playability

The Tom Anderson Icon Classic is not just a replication of vintage guitars; it is an excellent reinterpretation. The Icon Classic boasts a full-sized S-style body silhouette, complemented by a top jack, three numbered knobs, and a single rear strap button, encapsulating the vintage look with modern performance capabilities. This guitar delivers giant vintage tones with unprecedented resonance and unlimited string bends that sustain beautifully. It's designed to be visually captivating and incredibly satisfying to play, embodying the no-compromise ethos of Anderson guitars.

Superior Craftsmanship and Finish

The body of the Icon Classic is constructed from alder as an authentic vintage tonewood. The stunning Mystichrome finish, completed with a beautiful high gloss, enhances the guitar's visual appeal. The neck is made from chocolate maple, finished with a satin natural coating, ensuring a smooth and comfortable playing experience. One of Anderson's standout features is their Even Taper neck profile, favoured for its sleek and fast feel. This profile maintains consistent depth from the nut to the 12th fret, ensuring a comfortable playing experience even as you move up the neck.

Stainless Steel Frets for Enhanced Playability

Equipped with stainless steel jumbo frets, the Icon Classic offers players an astronomically improved playing experience. These frets, polished to perfection, provide silky smooth string bends and liquid-smooth vibrato, elevating the player's technique and touch. The stainless steel frets, extensively used on over 15,000 Anderson guitars, are known for their durability and exceptional playability without compromising tonal quality.

Advanced Hardware and Versatile Electronics

The Icon Classic features black hardware and a vintage tremolo bridge, combining durability with classic aesthetics. Its pickup configuration includes two SC1 single-coils and a HC2 humbucker. The SC1s deliver a rich, vintage-level single-coil sound with sweet, lush highs, while the HF Series humbuckers are designed to produce a balanced sound with muscular midrange, musical upper-mids, and sweet highs, ideal for a wide range of playing styles from vintage rock to contemporary fusion. The 5-way switching system, with a coil-split for the humbucker, offers great tonal possibilities, from classic single-coil spank to thick, humbucker-driven growl.

Buzz Feiten Tuning System for Unmatched Precision

One of the standout features of the Icon Classic is the Buzz Feiten Tuning System, which ensures unparalleled tuning stability and accuracy. This system enhances the overall musical experience by making chords sound more harmonious and in tune with each other.
