The body construction of the Drop Top Hollow is a harmonious blend of materials, featuring a quilt maple top paired with basswood. This combination yields a rich, full-bodied sound with a balanced tonal spectrum. The addition of sealed chambers further enhances the guitar's resonance, providing a gentle attack and an airy quality to the tone - not to mention a further weight reduction to an already light guitar.
Finished in a striking Light Tiger Eye Burst with binding and a black back, the Drop Top Hollow exudes elegance from every angle. The beautiful high-gloss finish adds a touch of sophistication, complementing the guitar's aesthetic appeal.
The neck of the Drop Top Hollow is crafted from caramel maple, with a rosewood fingerboard that adds a rich, dark appearance. The Even-Taper neck profile and 1 11/16" nut width ensure a smooth playing experience, allowing for effortless transitions up and down the fretboard.
One of the most notable features of the Drop Top Hollow is its fretwork. Equipped with heavy stainless steel frets, this guitar offers unparalleled playability and responsiveness. The stainless steel frets provide a silky smooth feel, allowing for effortless string bends and fluid vibrato.
In terms of electronics, the Drop Top Hollow is equipped with H1, SC1, and H3 pickups. The H1 neck humbucker delivers a full and throaty tone, whilst the H3 bridge pickup offers a thick, full, and hot tone that produces a legato-like fluidity. And in the SC1 and you have a classic hum-cancelling single-coil with an output slightly higher than vintage.
