The Builder’s Edition 514ce draws inspiration from 2024’s 50th Anniversary Builder’s Edition 314ce. It features a Grand Auditorium body shape, which is Taylor’s most popular and versatile design. It’s loud when strummed but also super dynamic when played fingerstyle. This guitar features Urban Ash back and sides, paired with a Sitka Spruce top. This tonewood combination delivers a warm, woody sound with exceptional clarity and sustain. Thanks to Andy Powers’ incredible V-Class bracing system, this guitar has a noticeable increase in volume, making it ideal for a wide range of situations. The gloss finish looks and feels great, and the guitar as a whole has a super slick appearance. Like all Builder’s Edition models, the 514ce also features a beveled armrest and chamfered body edges.
In classic Taylor fashion, this guitar features a super comfortable neck shape that feels great in your hand. No matter your playing style, you’ll be able to navigate this guitar with ease. Crafted from mahogany, the neck is very stable and resists changes in temperature and humidity. The West African Crelicam Ebony fingerboard is deep in color, which contrasts beautifully against the light Sitka Spruce top. This model also features Taylor’s Compass inlay scheme, which gives the guitar a classy, refined look.
Equipped with Taylor’s versatile ES2 pickup system, this guitar is ready for the road, the studio, or home use. It holds its own in almost any setting. It’s finished with Gotoh 510 tuners, a firestripe pickguard, black and ivoroid purfling, and comes shipped in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
