The Sound City Master Lead 50 valve head is an evolution of the Dave Reeves design ’67 Sound City One-Hundred amplifier but with Steven Fryette’s own unique tonal flavour! At the heart of this amp is the incredible EL34 power amp section that saturates beautifully when pushed, it’s incredibly expressive and perfectly takes on the characteristic of your playing.
Thanks to the simplistic control layout this amplifer dares modern players to go back to rock’s brawny, tube-melting roots and experience the freedom of unbridled musical expression! Featuring 4 inputs, individual channel volumes, master volume, a 3-band eq and global presence control the Master Lead 50 perfectly captures the tonal magic of ‘60s era valve amps.
