Description

In the late 1960s, American guitar manufacturers faced intense competition from affordable Japanese-made guitars that closely resembled American models. To counter this, American companies launched "Sigma Guitars" in 1970. These acoustic guitars were crafted by skilled workers in efficient Japanese factories and inspected in the US before hitting the market. Sigma Guitars quickly earned a reputation for their exceptional construction and sound quality, leading to a dedicated fan base and high demand amongst collectors. Second-hand models are rarely available, as owners are reluctant to part with them.

The Sigma SG Series stands out for its exceptional features and craftsmanship. Each guitar in this series features a solid spruce top, ensuring superior sound quality and durability. The extravagant pickguards and high-quality components make these guitars both visually appealing and musically impressive. Equipped with advanced pickup systems and D'Addario strings, the SG Series guarantees a perfect blend of tone and playability.

The Sigma GJA-SG200 is a prime example of the SG Series' excellence. It features a Grand Jumbo 14-fret body size, a dovetail neck joint for enhanced stability, and a solid Sitka spruce top for rich, resonant sound. The back and sides are made of flamed maple, and the neck is crafted from maple with a low-profile design for comfortable playability. The nut and saddle are made from bone, contributing to the guitar's superior tone and sustain.

Additional features of the GJA-SG200 include a micarta fingerboard and bridge, a 25.4" scale length, and a 1-3/4" neck width at the nut. The two-way truss rod ensures precise neck adjustment, and the gold Grover diecast tuning machines provide reliable tuning stability. The guitar comes with Fishman Sonitone electronics for excellent amplified sound, a polished gloss finish with a vintage sunburst, and a softshell case for protection. With D'Addario EXP16 strings, this guitar is ready to deliver outstanding performance right out of the box.
