Description

In 2004 Ron Ellis embarked on a quest to unravel the secrets behind the exceptional sound of guitars from the '50s and '60s. Armed with over 35 years of engineering experience, particularly in materials and mechanical design, Ron utilised high-tech machinery to reverse engineer the electronics of '50s and '60s guitars, focusing on pickups. Based in Carlsbad, California, Ron and his dedicated team meticulously handcraft each pickup, adhering to vintage specifications. The process involves no shortcuts or compromises, ensuring an authentic vintage sound that mirrors the craftsmanship of guitars from the golden era.

Presenting the 50's LRP humbucker set, meticulously crafted by Ron Ellis in collaboration with guitar legend Lee Roy Parnell, vintage collectors, and the esteemed Gibson Custom Shop. Initially featured in the 2012 Gibson Lee Roy Parnell Signature Les Paul, these pickups were born from a passion for recreating the iconic tone found in Duane Allman's original '57 Goldtop Les Paul.

Exclusive to Peach Guitars in the UK, the 50's LRP is a vintage-accurate replication of the earliest Patent Applied For (PAF) humbuckers. Every component has been carefully chosen to faithfully recreate the distinctive sound that made early humbuckers legendary.

Experience the classic, clear, articulate, and harmonically rich tones reminiscent of Duane's original PAFs with the 50's LRP. Renowned for its vintage accuracy, this pickup set stands at the pinnacle of its class, ensuring that your guitar not only sounds authentic but captures the essence of a bygone era.
