The REVV D25 Joey Landreth Edition is a single-channel, all-valve guitar combo amplifier designed for musicians seeking a straightforward yet high-quality tonal experience. This amplifier is a collaborative effort between REVV and guitarist Joey Landreth, building upon the original D25 model.
Key features include a 25/5W power section, driven by two 6V6 power valves, and a dual 12AX7 preamp. This configuration delivers classic low to medium gain tones, suitable for both clean and mild breakup sounds. The amplifier is equipped with a Celestion G12H-75 Creamback speaker, chosen for its warm, record-ready tones. This speaker provides a balanced sound with a smooth midrange and tight low end.
A significant aspect of the D25 Joey Landreth Edition is its integrated Two-notes technology, which offers virtual cabinet and impulse response (IR) loading. This feature allows for direct output via a mono XLR out, facilitating reactive load and IR routing for studio or live applications. Six preset virtual cabinets are included, with optional MIDI support for up to 128 presets, enhancing versatility.
The amplifiers control layout includes a 3-band EQ, volume, and level controls, along with footswitchable gain boost and digital reverb. A buffered rear-panel effects loop allows for integrating external effects, and a 5W power attenuator provides flexibility for various playing environments.
The D25 Joey Landreth Edition also features a vintage aesthetic, with a textured finish, teal pilot light, and metal toggles. This design pays homage to classic amplifier designs while offering modern functionality.
In addition to the amplifier's technical features, the first 200 units sold include a limited gold vinyl pressing of Joey Landreth's album "Whiskey." This album, primarily recorded using a REVV Generator 7-40, showcases Landreth's guitar work and songwriting.
The amplifier's construction includes a robust build with dimensions of 19.5" height, 18" width, and 10" depth, weighing 31 lbs. Connectivity options include 1/4" input, 1/4" and XLR outputs, a 1/4" headphone output, USB, and 5-pin MIDI I/O. A 6-button footswitch is included for control over gain boost and other functions.
