Dustie Waring has taken the Heavy Metal world by storm. As one of awesome guitarists behind American Progressive Metal band "Between the Buried and Me" it's safe to say Waring knows a thing or two about what a Heavy Metal guitarist needs on the road. This collaboration with PRS has birthed a ferocious and aggressive beast. Based upon the iconic CE24, this version features some awesome alterations.
In classic PRS fashion we have a rich and resonant Mahogany body paired up with a sweet Satin Black Maple Top. This tonewood pairing might just be the holy grail when it comes to guitar manufacture, it allows for incredible clarity whilst keeping an awesome sense of power. It is extremely well weighted and supremely comfortable,as every PRS should be.
Based around the classic PRS CE model this signature features a Bolt-on Maple neck allowing for a really snappy response. Dustie's playing is incredibly complex so it is important he is able to cut through in the mix, the Bolt-on construction really helps with this and also provides great articulation. The Maple fretboard features the awesome Black Bird inlays, a 25" Scale length and of course 24 frets. Whether you are playing complex leads or heavy riffs you will feel at home on this beauty.
A pair of Waring's signature Mojotone "DW Tomahawk" pickups deliver a truly face melting tone. Made with a blend of Ceramic and Alnico magnets the Tomahawk set have an extremely high output with a big bottom end whilst keeping great clarity. paired with a 5-Way Blade along with Master Volume and Tone controls you can really dial in the tone just to your taste. Thanks to the Floyd Rose 1000 Tremolo and PRS Low Mass Locking Tuners you can expect great stability and intonation.
