A real Peach favourite, Collings Guitars are right up there as one of the most aspirational brands around. Under the expert eye of founder, the late, great, Bill Collings, the company has a rich history in crafting instruments of the very highest order. 

Handcrafted in Austin, Texas, Collings give you a real taste of luxury guitar construction. The attention to detail, master craftsmanship and traditional yet player focused design is honestly something special to behold.

One model that has really captured our attention is the stunning Collings 360 LT M Special Edition in Sonic Blue. A bit of a classic in the Collings range, the 360 debuted back in ‘09 and it’s fair to say it’s been a real crowd pleaser. A considered and innovative take on some of the more iconic offset designs, the 360 LT is a versatile beast, both subtle and raucous, the perfect blend of voices. 

Crafted from Select Alder, this solid body design features a single cutaway, it’s robust, really nicely weighted at under 8 lbs and offers great access right up the neck. Sonic Blue is a serious colour, a real traditional flavour, and you’ve got to have something about you if you’re going to pull it off, and the 360 LT really does! Caught somewhere between vintage and modern, it’s a stellar aesthetic.

The Maple neck has one of the best Rosewood boards we’ve seen for a while, dark and patterned, it’s the perfect compliment to the Sonic Blue finish. With a 24.7/8" scale length and a 12" radius, it's comfortable, precise and familiar, a trusty companion across a broad range of styles and situations.

One of the key issues with vintage offsets is the reliability of the tremolo, but that will be the furthest thing from your mind here, loaded with a Mastery bridge/tremolo system, you get impeccable intonation and tuning stability. The Mastery is widely considered to be THE go-to for guitars like this, after a few minutes with one you’ll see why!

Of course, all of these features are great from a playability perspective, but if you’re intending to plug into an amp you’re going to need to know what this guitar is packing under the hood. Well, it doesn’t get much better than a pair of Lollar Jazzmaster style single coils. The ultimate tonal option, Lollar are at the forefront of pickup design and are a highly favoured aftermarket addition to many guitars. 

Delivering a huge selection of tones, the 360 LT is almost a guitar for every situation, the more you throw at it, the harder it gets to find a flaw!
