At the heart of the Nano Cortex is the Neural Capture technology. This innovative system allows users to create incredibly accurate digital replicas of any amp, cabinet, or drive pedal in just minutes, directly on the device. Simply connect your gear, press the capture button, and the Nano Cortex learns and replicates the sonic characteristics with stunning precision. This eliminates the need for external computers or complicated setups. For those who prefer not to create their own captures, the Cortex Cloud offers free access to thousands of user-created captures, providing a vast and ever-expanding library of tones.
The Nano Cortex features a comprehensive signal chain with seven device slots, accommodating a wide range of effects and amp/cab combinations. It comes preloaded with 25 Neural Captures of classic amps, including iconic models like the Mesa Boogie JP2C, Fender Princeton 65, Diezel VH4, and Ampeg SVT Classic. Users can store up to 256 captures on the device, easily managed via the Cortex Cloud app.
Beyond Neural Capture, the Nano Cortex offers a high-quality impulse response (IR) loader with 300 preloaded IRs featuring multiple mic options and positions for detailed cabinet simulation. It also includes essential pre and post effects: an adaptive noise gate and transpose function for pre-effects, and a chorus (emulation of the Boss DC-2W), analog delay (BBD-style), and Mind Hall reverb (Lexicon 224 emulation) for post-effects.
