Built in Nazareth, Pennsylvania this Limited Edition Martin was originally built as part of an UK exclusive range of Sinker Mahogany guitars. Sinker Mahogany is the talk of the industry at the moment, originating in Belize, this Mahogany was felled roughly 300 years ago before being floated downstream with the intention of building vast ships. The less buoyant logs often sunk to the bottom and were preserved by a lack of oxygen and a torrent of river silt; these logs have a density that is perfect for guitar building. These logs are now being re-harvested by locals and are an incredibly in demand luxury timber with Yacht and furniture makers. Martin have managed to secure a limited amount of Sinker and these guitars are the product of it!
With a Sinker Mahogany Top, back and sides this OM body shape offers a really dynamic and vibrant tone. Featuring scalloped bracing, tonally, these guitars are as close as you will get to a genuine pre-war Martin, there is no artificial ageing here, this wood is old!
The Genuine Mahogany neck is an absolute dream to play. With a Modified Low Oval neck shape, 25.4" scale length and a 1 3/4" nut width, this Martin is supremely comfortable and smooth underhand. The Black Ebony fingerboard is the perfect partner for this neck; beautifully crafted it's a real treat to play.
This stunning Left Handed Martin Guitar is in excellent condition and offers everything that you could want from a classic "OM' model - punchy low notes when strummed hard and crisp, rich treble when played fingerstyle.
