Known for producing high-end instruments for professional musicians, Knaggs Guitars is celebrating its 15th anniversary with this special edition release. The Genie is a limited run of just 15 guitars, each designed to honour the groundbreaking artistry and cultural legacy of David Bowie - one of the most influential and innovative musicians of the 20th century. David Bowie's career was defined by fearless creativity, constant reinvention, and a commitment to pushing artistic boundaries. The Genie pays tribute to Bowie's iconic style and visionary spirit through a number of unique design elements. These include a Crème Gloss nitrocellulose finish with blue-stained binding, a lightning bolt "F" hole - referencing one of Bowie's most iconic visual motifs - with a blue stain and painted red accent, and bold red pearloid dot inlays. The guitar's aesthetics are completed with red pickup bezels and a Genie-inscribed truss rod cover, combining to create an instrument that visually reflects Bowie's dynamic and genre-defying identity.
Constructed with a hollow mahogany body and a carved maple top, the Genie offers warm, resonant tones with excellent clarity and sustain. The set-neck design enhances tonal transfer and playability, with a mahogany neck and East Indian rosewood fretboard that deliver a smooth, responsive feel.
