Guthrie Govan is one of the most naturally gifted players to ever pick up the guitar. His extreme virtuosity and incredible technique demands he has a guitar that can handle any playing situation with ease. The Suhr Modern Guthrie Govan is that guitar, prior to his arrangement with Charvel, Suhr were the guys charged with crafting the ultimate signature model and it's something pretty special.
With a Mahogany body, finished in Trans Cherry, it's supremely resonant and dynamic this guitar is really well balanced. The Mahogany neck features a Pau Ferro fingerboard, 24 frets, a 16" radius and a modern elliptical profile. It's smooth, fast and a great platform for both heavy chordal work and slick, rapid lead lines.
With a duo of SSV and SSH+ humbuckers flanking an ML singlecoil you get multiple tonal options. The tone knob is a push pull for coil splitting the neck pickup, while one of the coolest features is the little button next to the pickup switch. This reverts the guitar back to the bridge humbucker at full volume, giving you two individual sounds at the touch of a button. It's a superb guitar and definitely one worthy of such an enigmatic player.
This guitar is used but in great condition, complete with Suhr hardcase it's a real steal. These beauts don't hit the second hand market too often so don't miss your chance to grab a modern day tone monster!
