For 2016 Gibson have reintroduced the 2013/2014 spec Les Pauls as the "Standard Historic" series. After a brief hiatus in 2015, we're back to long neck tenon, aniline dye etc plus Custom Buckers, 1 piece fingerboard etc.
These guitars sound absolutely superb and they totally encapsulate the vibe and tone of those great late 50's 'bursts.
The Custom Bucker pickups are without doubt the finest PAF era pickup on the market, so with the right amp, you can easily dial in the classic Eric Clapton "Beano" tone, Paul Kossoff, Peter Green, it's all in there!
