Dale Wilson is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so.
The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '52 Telecaster is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.
The select Ash body is finished in a really authentically aged Dirty Natural. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further, it also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. The wear patterns are incredible, so genuine and authentic, Dale Wilson is considered the King of relic work at the Custom Shop and its definitely on display here!
The Quartersawn Maple neck is real comfortable. With a '51 U profile, 7.25" - 9.5" compound radius and 6105 frets its super resonant and feels incredible underhand.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '52 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a duo of hand-wound Twisted Tele' pickups, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection.
Supreme quality from top to bottom and shipped in a Fender Custom Shop hardcase, it's easy to see the Fender Masterbuilders are so highly regarded. Guitars of this calibre just don't come around every day, we love it and we're pretty sure you will too!
This guitar is exactly the same as when it was new. It was also the actual guitar that was on display at the 2019 Winter NAMM show. No part exchanges available against this guitar
