The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '62 Stratocaster Journeyman is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
This Strat has an Ash body and is finished in a majestic Sienna Sunburst Journeyman relic. The Journeyman is a very lightly aged nitro finish; this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been lovingly cared for over the years. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The plain grain Maple neck has a smooth finish and a AAA-grade Rosewood fingerboard. With a 10" radius and 21 frets, the '62 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a 60 Style C neck shape. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced.
With a trio of hand wound Fender Custom Shop Fat '60s pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. With a crisp harmonic content and a really refined and precise tone, the Fat '60s are some of the most versatile single coils around, a great choice for this guitar!
This guitar is used and does feature a pretty cool mod, it has a mid-boost and TBX tone pot installed just like Eric Clapton. A great feature, you can check out the under the pickguard photos in the gallery. There are a few minor marks and dings but overall this is a really cool guitar in nice condition!
